Day 213, 1 Peter 5
The example for us, as we emulate Jesus in joyful endurance of persecution, is those who have gone before - the elders who have lived this journey ahead of us. They are worthy of honor and support when they show the way with humility, endurance, and a true shepherd’s heart.
As we humble ourselves, trusting God to vindicate us and raise us up, we also resist the strategies and tactics of the enemy. Where division, discouragement, and suffering abound, there we link arms with our brothers and sisters across the globe and trust God for ultimate victory.
The grace of God is a sure, dependable foundation, even if you dwell in the most corrupt and godless place in the world. Ultimately, Jesus wins and we are on His winning team.
