Moses & Seeing God -- Moses' face shines with God's glory after being in God's presence.
Today's Readings:
Reading 1: Exodus 33
Reading 2: Exodus 34
Reading 3: 2 Corinthians 3
After the disappointments and rebellions of the past few days, today we see Moses meeting with God in the Tent of Meeting and on Mount Sinai. This is the closest any human had come to God since Adam, and the closest anyone would come to God until Mary became pregnant with Jesus.
Not surprisingly, this close encounter caused Moses' face to shine with the glory of God, and symbolically he veiled his face after relaying God's instructions to the people. This would later represent the veil that covers the hearts of those who do not have faith in God when they read the books of Moses.
You and I have the privilege of seeing God, and knowing Him, and God's intention is that His light shines through us.
So have a great day, shining for Him!
