Day 184, Acts 26
Governor Festus, King Agrippa, and many prominent and powerful people are assembled for this court case.
Paul gives a beautifully reasoned and personally transparent account of his journey with Jesus. From a violent religious persecutor he has become a consistent witness to the good news that Jesus has been raised from the dead to give cancellation of sins to all who will receive it. I recommend that you re-read Paul’s speech and dwell on the powerful truths he shares, applying them to yourself and those you love.
Interestingly, the pagan governor thinks this is madness, but the religious king is almost ready to believe. So Paul concludes his defense with the hope that everyone present would know God in the way he does!
Governor and King alike agree that Paul has done nothing wrong, but they are bound to send him to Caesar because he has exercised his right to appeal to Caesar.
We’ll see what happens in the next chapter.
Have a great day!
