Pause and Reflect

Before we embark on the final chapter of Jesus' ministry, it is good to reflect on what we have read in the past week. After the celebrations of restored relationship in Luke 15 we have seen the intensity increase in this week's readings. The raising of Lazarus "tipped the scales" and made Jesus' betrayal and execution certain. As you review your journal and catch up on any readings you missed, look for ways Jesus behaves in this decisive period. He is determined, passionate, and loving.

He feels the same way toward you and me today as He did toward all humanity then.
