Jesus' Passover Teachings -- Jesus says He leaves to prepare a place for His Disciples.

Today's Readings:

Reading 1: John 13:31-38

Reading 2: John 14

Reading 3: Hebrews 11:13-16

Hebrews tells us that all the greats of the Old Testament died looking forward to a place God was preparing. Then, in John's gospel, we see the record of Jesus' teaching the evening before His crucifixion, telling us He is going to prepare a place for us.

Those two places are one and the same - the place where we will be loved perfectly and fully restored to our created image - the image of the one who had gone to prepare for us.

Even if we fail Him here (as Peter is going to do) there is hope and restoration in our future if we will accept it. Let's look forward to our inheritance today!
