Pause and Reflect:

We have been seeing significant women in our readings recently; this is surprising in a patriarchal society such as Israel. God created all of humanity in 'His' image. Feminine and masculine characteristics are ALL part of that image, and gender is not a qualification, or a barrier, to influence or significance.

In what ways has God worked in your life counter to the norms or expectations of the time, place, or culture?
