Day 124, Galatians 6
Finally, Paul concludes his letter with practical instructions and a final warning. His stay in Galatia was originally caused by some physical condition that prevented him traveling (4:13) and the believers in Galatia supported him, but now it seems they have turned against him by embracing legalistic observances. So Paul urges them to bear one another’s burdens, restoring those who are caught in transgressions, and watching out to not be tempted. (In other words, to walk in the Spirit as he wrote in chapter 5). This way of life is a form of sowing - either sowing to the carnal nature (sarx) or to the Spirit. And sowing brings a harvest, so we share good things with those who teach us the right path (i.e. the Galatians ought to bless Paul, at least with obedience to his instructions)!
The bottom line, the rule of God, is a new creation. What we were is gone, we are made new in Christ.
May His grace be with your spirit, today and every day. Amen!
Have a great day!
