Pause and Reflect

After the 10 commandments is a good place to pause and reflect. We have been following the story of a good God who created us in love, for love. Now, having chosen a small, weak nation as the special focus of His grace, God instructs them in fundamentals of living this human life according to His standards. In other words, to reflect the image of God, this is how we will live. Yet none of us has fully kept even these basic ten instructions!

As you pause to reflect today, allow the enormity of what Jesus has accomplished (by keeping ALL the commandments AND dying in our place) to overwhelm every glimmer of shame and disqualification in your life. And give thanks for such a Savior!
